What is Referral Reactor for?

Referral Reactor is here to help you receive referrals while maintaining organization and effective communication with the referrer. Have you ever wanted to pay someone for a referral? Maybe you have even wanted to pay their supervisor for encouraging them to refer to you. Referral Reactor does it all! With Referral Reactor, referrers and their supervisors can send you a referral and you can give them a bonus as the status of the referral changes. The referrer will not only get paid through the app, but they can see the status (whether the referral will use you or not) as you update it along the way.

If you are a business interested in onboarding referrers, you can find more information of what you could accomplish with Referral Reactor on our Reactor page.

If you are a referrer who wants to understand what you can do with Referral Reactor, refer to our Referrers page.

What is a Reactor?

A Reactor is the business that is receiving referrals! For some companies, they have different specialties within their main business. Different Reactors can give them a way to keep track of their referrals on, let's say, the structure side, and their referrals from their main water restoration business.

How do I setup my PayPal business account?

You must go to paypal.com to sign up for your business account. You will need to link your bank account, move money from your bank account into your PayPal account, request access to the Payouts API, and copy your paypal Client ID and Secret into Referral Reactor. This can be a long process, taking anywhere from 3-7 business days.

This is due to authorizing important components on PayPal's side. We have a whole page dedicated to setting up PayPal. Please refer to the PayPal Setup page for a detailed answer to this question.

What is the Payouts API and how do I access it?

The Payouts API is an API PayPal has developed. It is how Referral Reactor can tell PayPal that you want to send $100 to John, so PayPal can fulfill the request.

PayPal will have you fill out a questionnaire to request access to their Payouts API. You will generally hear a response back from them in 3-4 business days. To request this access you can go to https://www.paypal.com/merchantapps/appcenter/makepayments/payouts or refer to our PayPal Setup page.
