You probably already use an AI assistant to draft emails, do research or plan your week. Now it can help with your referral program too.

With AI assistants, you can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor to your Referral Reactor account and work with your referrals in plain English. No exports, no copying and pasting between tabs.

What you can ask

Once it's connected, your assistant can look things up and handle routine updates for you. A few examples:

“Which referrals came in this week that are still marked New?”
“Show me everything our top roofing partner referred this year and where each one stands.”
“Add a referral from Dana for a water heater replacement. Here's the customer's name and phone number.”
“Mark the Johnson kitchen job as completed.”
“Summarize last month's bonus payments.”

Because your assistant can combine Referral Reactor with everything else it does, you can go a step further. Draft a thank-you note to a top referrer, turn a list of stalled leads into a follow-up plan, or prep for a partner meeting with their full referral history in hand.

Your assistant acts as you

When you connect an assistant, you sign in to Referral Reactor and approve access. From then on, the assistant works as you, with the same guardrails:

Same permissions. It can see and do only what you can in your organization. Business developers see only their own referrers and those referrers' referrals.
No payments. AI assistants can't send, approve or schedule bonus payments. People who can already see payment history can ask about it, read-only.
Sensitive details stay put. Payout details like PayPal or Venmo accounts, passwords and tokens are never shared with the assistant.
No wrong-organization mix-ups. If you belong to more than one organization, the assistant has to name the organization before it changes anything.

Super admins stay in control. AI assistant access is on by default for Unlimited organizations, and a super admin can turn it off for the whole organization at any time under Settings › Integrations. Connected assistants stop working on their next request.

What it can do today

Find referrals: search by status, keyword or date, and open any referral's details, notes and custom fields.
Submit referrals: add a new referral on behalf of a referrer, using your organization's own referral form and custom fields.
Update status: admins can move a referral forward, or cancel it with a loss reason.
Look up people: search your referrers and other users by name, email, phone or company.
Add referrers: admins can add a new referrer to the organization.
Review bonus payments: see recent payments, read-only, if your role allows it.

Connect in about a minute

Open the menu under your profile picture and choose AI assistants. You'll find your server URL with a copy button and step-by-step instructions for each assistant. In Claude, for example:

Open Customize › Connectors, choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Referral Reactor, paste the server URL and choose Continue.
Keep the detected sign-in settings, choose Continue, then Add.
Sign in to Referral Reactor and approve access.

ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor each have their own tab with copy-ready steps. On Claude Team or Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector for the organization first. ChatGPT requires developer mode on a paid plan.

Tip: If you're in more than one organization, tell the assistant which one to use.

Who can use it

AI assistants are available to admins and business developers in organizations on the Unlimited plan. Referrers can't connect an assistant yet.

A quick word on MCP

AI assistants connect through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI apps work securely with the tools you already use. You don't need to know anything about it to get started. For the technically curious: the server lives at https://referralreactor.com/api/mcp and signs you in with OAuth.
